Walter E. Roberts Jr., of White Haven, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 24, 2026, at the age of 80.

Born on July 8, 1946, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Walter was the son of the late Walter E. Roberts Sr. and Violet Baker Roberts.

Walter proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, he built a long and respected career as a machinist in the tool and die industry, where he was known for his skill, dedication, and strong work ethic.

Walter enjoyed life to the fullest and treasured the simple pleasures that brought him happiness. He loved traveling to Las Vegas, where he could often be found trying his luck at the casino, especially at the poker table. He also enjoyed fishing, watching classic western movies, and listening to the timeless music of Elvis Presley. Walter was a proud member of the VFW in Linden, New Jersey, and the Italian American Club of Rahway, New Jersey, where he enjoyed the friendships and camaraderie of fellow members.

Above all, Walter cherished his family. He is survived by his wife, Maria Roberts; his daughters, Cathy Truppo of St. Petersburg, Florida, Wendy (Jayson) MacConnell of White Haven, and Rosie (Kelly Rodriguez) Roberts of Easton; his grandchildren Gissela, Xavier, Abigail, Scarlett, Isabelle, Freya, Jah'lmari and Nevaeh ; his great-grandchildren Leland and Elena; his sister, Paula Ernsteins; as well as extended family members and many friends who will miss him dearly.

In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by those who welcomed him into eternal peace.
