WILLIAM J. BERKANT

William J. Berkant, 49, of Scranton, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023 in St. Joseph's Center, Scranton.

Born in Fairbanks, Alaska, he was the son of Cindy A. Berkant and the late William Berkant.  

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister Michelle (James) Clarke of Hanover Township and niece and nephew, Marisa and Matthew Clarke. Billy always had a smile on his face and would light up any room with his contagious laugh .  He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved to listen to music and watch the Philadelphia Eagles .

Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at 11:00 am from the Lehman Family Funeral Service, Inc. 689 Hazle St. Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702 with Reverend Brian Clarke officiating.   Interment will be held in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township.

Friends are invited to join the family from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
