WAYNE W. CANFIELD

Wayne W. Canfield, 60, of Wilkes-Barre died on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 in the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Washington, DC, he was the son of Mary M. Wittick Canfield of Wilkes-Barre and the late William W. Canfield. Wayne was a graduate of Meyers High School and worked for many years at Bartikowsky Jewelers, prior to their closing and most recently at Forty Fort Lube. He was an avid Sports Fan, rarely missing a game of the Philadelphia Phillies, San Francisco 49ers and Notre Dame.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Tom Canfield.

Wayne is survived, in addition to his mother, by sisters, Karen Canfield of Wilkes-Barre; Kelly Canfield of Pittsburgh; Kasey (Michael) Slatky of Ashley; nieces and nephew, Taylor, Breah Cooper, Kylie Slatky and Zachary Mingo; Uncle Clem Krzynefski and father figure, Gary Leonard

Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 10:00 am from the Lehman Family Funeral Service, Inc. 689 Hazle Ave. Wilkes-Barre. Interment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. 

Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation on Monday, June 27, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm and Tuesday morning, from 9:00 am until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the SPCA of Luzerne County.
