Timothy J. Kobal, of Hanover Twp., passed away in the VA Medical Center, Plains Township on Wednesday, March 30, 2022.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Peter and Evelyn Witinski Kobal and was a member of the former Holy Family Church, Sugar Notch. Tim served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal; Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending time with family.
Tim is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Carver Kobal; two sons, Timothy Kobal Jr. and Jeffrey Kobal, all of Hanover Township. He is also survived by 10 siblings, Peter and John Kobal, Marilyn Savina, Judy Yodsnukis, Evelyn Humanik, Daniel, Michael, Nicholas, Dale and Eugene Kobal; granddaughters, Rebecca and Alyssa Kobal and many nieces and nephews.
Blessing service with Military Honors will be conducted on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 2:00 pm from the Lehman Family Funeral Service, Inc. 689 Hazle Ave. Wilkes-Barre.
Friends are invited to join the family from 12:30 pm until time of service at the funeral home.
