Stephen Chrupalyk Obituary

Stephen Chrupalyk, of White Haven, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2026, at the age of 68.

Born in Philadelphia on November 29, 1957, he was the son of the late Walter B. and Miyoko Azuma Chrupalyk. Stephen attended Edison High School and went on to become a skilled tradesman in the electric industry.

Stephen was a man with a big heart who loved his family deeply. He had an ability to stay positive through all of life’s highs and lows and never lost his sense of humor. He loved cracking jokes, sharing his wisdom, teaching his children life lessons, and offering helpful advice whenever it was needed. A true tradesman at heart, Stephen proudly built his own home, leaving behind not only a place for his family, but a lasting reflection of his hard work and determination.

He enjoyed fishing, spending time in nature, and being outdoors. Stephen had a deep appreciation for all things natural and holistic. He also enjoyed finding and selling treasures at the Blakeslee Flea Market. A die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan, he was always ready to cheer on his team.

Above all else, Stephen cherished his family and the time he spent with those he loved. His humor, advice, positivity, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Stephen is survived by his daughter, J Kahala Azuma Chrupalyk; son, Russell S. Chrupalyk; grandchildren, Shawn Perry Jr., Leilani Maui, and Russel Phoenix Maui; great-grandchild, Nanu’alele Maui-Lind; and sister, Virginia Chrupalyk.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Erik Chrupalyk, and brothers, John and Bob Chrupalyk.

A private celebration of Stephen’s life will be held by his family.
