Robert J. Ankudovich III, of Larksville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at the age of 38.
Born in Scranton on February 2, 1988, he was the beloved son of Robert J. Ankudovich Jr. and Deborah L. Moreton Ankudovich.
Robert was a graduate of West Side Area Vocational-Technical School; proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was the recipient of many commendations and service medals, among a couple are the National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terroism Service Medal. Following his military service, he worked as a landscaper, where his strong work ethic and appreciation for the outdoors were evident in all that he did.
Above all, Robert cherished the time he spent with his family. He enjoyed camping, listening to music, and spending as much time outdoors as possible. He will be remembered for his love of nature, his devotion to those closest to him, and the memories he created with family and friends.
In addition to his loving parents, Robert is survived by his brother, Francis Ankudovich, of Edwardsville; his sisters, Amber Ankudovich, of Kingston, and Tiffany Ankudovich, of Ashley; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service with military honors honoring Robert's life on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Lehman Family Funeral Service, 689 Hazle Ave., Wilkes-Barre. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
