Rafael 'Lefty' DeJesus

Rafael DeJesus, known as Lefty, 57, of West Hazelton, died Thursday, August 29, 2019 in Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Brooklyn, he was the son of the late Agapito DeJesus and Enid Montijo and was employed in the Business Cleaning industry. Being an outdoors man, he enjoyed fishing and animals.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Rebecca Hinz.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian Rosado of Plains; son, John DeJesus of West Hazleton, daughter, Aida DeJesus of Wilkes-Barre and son, Ralph DeJesus of Wilkes-Barre; several grandchildren.

Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at 11:00 am from the Lehman Family Funeral Service, Inc. 689 Hazle Ave. Wilkes-Barre with Reverend James McGahagan officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.

Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation on Tuesday from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
