RUTH BOSTON Obituary

Ruth McEvoy Boston, 75, of Ashley, died at home on Friday, March 6, surrounded by her loving family.

 

Born in the Lee Park Section of Hanover Township, she was the daughter of the late James McEvoy and Margaret Tosh McEvoy. She worked as a cosmetologist most of her life; she loved dancing, baking cakes, crocheting, sewing and occasional trips to the Casino. 

 

In additional to her parents, She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, George Boston; Brothers: James and John McEvoy. 

 

She is survived by daughters: Lisa Casey and husband, Brian, of Ashley; Lynn Ziller of Hazleton; Son, Lee Scott Churnetski of Ashley. She will be deeply missed by grandchildren: Ryan, Jamie Lee, Kyle and Brandon Casey, Chloe Ziller and by her great-grandchildren: Richie and Maddy Boytin and Brody Casey; Siblings: William McEvoy of Connecticut and Margaret Kravitz of Pittson.

 

Private Graveside service and interment will be held in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township.

 

Family would like to thank Hospice of the Sacred Heart nurses and a dear friend "Molly" for helping take excellent care of Ruth.
