Russell C. Stevens, 88, of Wilkes-Barre, went to his eternal rest on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at the VA Hospice Medical Center.
Russell was a proud veteran. He served for three years during the Korean War attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army. He was employed at Muskin Pool Company for 37 years. His biggest hobby throughout his life was attending auctions and flea markets. He had a large collection of metal lunchboxes. Russell was an avid NY Giants fan and loved going to the Casino. He was an animal lover, especially his cat Felix. Russell’s favorite activity though was spending time with his daughters and his granddaughter Ashley.
Russell was born in Cortland NY, son of the late Chancey and Maude Stevens.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Duane, Harley, Richard, and Bob.
Surviving are his daughters Loretta “Lori” Stevens, Wilkes-Barre, Sylvia Decker and husband Daniel, granddaughter Ashley Decker, Shavertown and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Monday, July 26, 2021, from 5 to 7 pm at the Lehman Family Funeral Service Inc., 689 Hazle St. Wilkes-Barre.
Funeral services will be held privately.
