RITA E. MESHKO

Rita E. Meshko, 82, of Wilkes-Barre, died Thursday, February 18, 2021, in the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Sophie Kwarcinski Meshko.  Rita graduated Marymount High School and attended Wilkes-Barre Business College. She was employed by the Pennsylvania State Bureau of Public Welfare until her retirement in 1997.  She was an active member of St. Andrew's Parish, Wilkes-Barre, serving as Extraordinary Minister for many years.

Rita was preceded in death by two special cousins:  Dolores (Krushin) Falkowski and Mary Ann Krushin.
 

Rita is survived by her sister,  Barbara Meshko, a niece, two nephews and several cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at St. Andrew's Parish, 316 Parrish St. Wilkes-Barre at 9:30 am. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Twp.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Lehman Family Funeral Service, Inc. Wilkes-Barre.
