Raymond Emplit, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026, at River Street Manor.
Born in Essington, he was the son of the late Henry and Philosene Emplit. Raymond proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was honored with the Good Conduct Medal and the Air Force Longevity Service Award in recognition of his faithful and dedicated service.
Raymond was employed as a Design Draftsman in the HVAC industry mostly at Power Engineering, where he was respected for his skill and dedication to his craft. He found great joy in the outdoors, especially spending time fishing and with his dog Kelly.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, George, Henry, Edward, Leon, and Ernie Emplit; his sisters, Philomene Carly and Catherine German; and his brother and sister-in-law, John and Louise Cunningham.
Raymond is survived by his beloved wife, Cabrini Reilly Emplit; his daughter, Margaret “Peggie” Jaskulski and her husband, Scott, of Nanticoke; his son, Daniel Emplit, of Wilkes-Barre; his cherished grandchildren, Scott and Alyssa Jaskulski; his sisters, Alice Covery, Mary Reigel, and Louise Santos; along with many nieces and nephews.
A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Mary’s Cemetery Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Family Funeral Service Inc.
