RAYMOND B. BALCOMB, JR.

Raymond B. "Bart" Balcomb Jr., 88, of Luzerne, died on Thursday, August 1, 2024 in Allied Hospice, Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Raymond B. Balcomb Sr and the late Florence Hughes Balcomb.  Bart served his country proudly in the United States Army during Korea and worked for Acme Markets, for 43 years, as a produce clerk, prior to retirement in 1994.  He was an avid golfer having two holes in one.  He enjoyed spending time with family; hunting and fishing and enjoyed helping with Habitats for Humanity for 17 years. Bart was a volunteer fireman for over 20 years for the Dallas Fire Department.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 65 years, Patricia McDade Balcomb and sons James Balcomb of Athens, GA and Bart of Souderton, PA and brother in law, Robert McDade, Hanover Township.

A private Graveside funeral service will be held in October with Military Honors in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
