Paul Viti Obituary

Paul J. Viti, 85, of Sugar Notch, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Birchwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Nanticoke, with his loving family by his side.

Born in Nanticoke, he was the son of the late Tulio and Genevieve (Norczyk) Viti. He was a graduate of Sugar Notch High School and was employed by PennDOT for many years as an equipment operator. Paul owned and operated his own barber shop in

Sugar Notch for many years, where he built lasting friendships and became a familiar face to the community.  Paul cherished spending time with his family and enjoyed traveling. He was a devoted Penn State football fan and an avid NASCAR enthusiast.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Alan Viti, and his brother, Alfonso Viti.

He is survived by his loving wife of many years, Justine (Tanski) Viti; his five children, Karen (John) Hart, Paul (Margaret) Viti, Robert (Linda) Viti, David (Nancy) Viti, Stephen (Renee) Viti; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; his sister, Mary Josefowicz; and

several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Leo the Great Church, 33 Manhattan Street, Ashley, with the Reverend John Chmil officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday morning at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Family Funeral Service, Inc., Wilkes-Barre.
