Michael J. Pugh, "Mike", 62, of the Newtown section of Hanover Township, passed away at home on June 17, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 15, 1964, in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of Helen Saraka Pugh and the late John "Jack" Pugh. He was a graduate of Hanover Area High School, Class of 1982.
Mike was a skilled welder by trade, but his passion made him a self-taught mechanic who loved automotive bodywork and restoration. His hobby was working on various projects at his garage in Bear Creek, especially one of his Mustangs. He was known for his strong work ethic. In his spare time, Mike enjoyed fishing, hunting, and visiting flea markets with friends and family. Mike had an appreciation for the simple things in life and valued time with those he loved, including his dogs, Lilah and Kiko. Mike will be remembered for his kind heart, easy-going nature, generous, loyal, and humorous personality.
In addition to his mother, Helen, he is survived by his loving wife, Katie Stemrich Pugh, his cherished daughter, Hannah Pugh; brothers, John (Donna) Pugh, Jeff Pugh, and Jarrod (Daphne) Pugh; sister, Caroline (John) Evans; aunt, Sharon (William) Ashton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
