Meghann E. Jones

Meghann E. Jones, 43, formerly of Mountain Top and Wilkes-Barre, passed away tragically on Saturday, August 29, 2026, after being struck by a vehicle in New York.

Born in Kingston on May 15, 1983, she was the daughter of Karen Bly Jones and the late David Jones. Meghann attended Meyers High School and went on to work for various local businesses, including Dunkin’ Donuts and Chewy. She was a former member of St. Andrew Parish, where she attended CCD and received her Holy Communion.

In her younger years, Meghann enjoyed roller skating and swimming. She was a social person who loved being around others and had a natural ability to make friends wherever she went. Meghann loved her kids, family and friends and the many people who became part of her life over the years. She was bright, happy, and had a good heart, and leaves behind many memories with those who knew and loved her.

In addition to her mother, Meghann is survived by sisters, Melissa Jones and Mandee Jones; her children, Matthew, Isaiah, Giavanna and Ciara; step father Mark Grove, niece and nephews, Dominique, Austin, Blake and Elijah; great-niece, Zerina; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bly; paternal grandmother, Helen Jones; cousins, Janine and Brian and also Greg.

Memorial service will be on Sunday, September 13, 2026 at 1:30 pm from the Lehman Family Funeral Service, Inc. 689 Hazle Ave. Wilkes-Barre with Reverend Vincent Dang officiating.  Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation from 11:30 am until time of service.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any local mental health and/or alcoholism charities of donors choice.
