Obituary
Morgan R. Jones, 89, of Bear Creek and Florida, died on Saturday, March 18, 2023 with family by his side.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Morgan W. and Emilie Jones and was a graduate of Coughlin High School. He served his country proudly in the United States Army and worked as a mechanical specialist for Consolidated Cigar. Morgan enjoyed playing and watching basketball and spending time with beloved family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Thomas Spurlock.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Mildred M. Claypool Jones; daughter Diane (Vic) Kopko of Hanover Township; son, Scott (Mary Lou) Jones of Sugar Notch; seven grandchildren, Sarah, Rebecca, Debbie, Joey, Ashley, Mary Kate, Scotty; five great grandchildren, Justin, Elijah, Mikey, Mia and Rocco.
Private family funeral will be held at the convenience of the family with interment in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township.
Arrangements under the direction of the Lehman Family Funeral Service, Inc. Wilkes-Barre.
