MARY "Molly" POLONS

Mary Ann “Molly” Polons, 65, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. 

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Loretta Graham Stemrich and a graduate of Hanover High School. Molly held many titles throughout her lifetime, a home health aid for Silver Care, baker for Kevin’s Restaurant and most importantly loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy was time spent with family, especially Friday night sleepovers with her grandchildren, Lettie and Luke. Molly took great pride in her excellent baking talents and never missed an opportunity to bake a cake for a Birthday or celebration. Molly enjoyed fishing trips with her husband and grandchildren. She was a great animal lover and will be greatly missed by her three dogs, Betsy, Belle and Rosie.

In addition to her parents she was proceeded in death by her Aunt Mamie Graham.

Left to cherish her memory and mourn her loss is her loving husband of 45 years, David J. Polons; daughter Brooke Troxell, husband Jason of Jackson Township; son Buddy Polons of Ashley; two grandchildren Lettie and Luke Troxell; siblings Donald Stemrich of Nuangola, Shanna Billings of Mountain Top, Patrick Stemrich of Wapwallopen, Katie Pugh of Hanover Township and many nieces and nephews.

Molly’s wishes were to have no public services. The family will have a Celebration of life at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Laura’s Hope Rescue or the Medical Oncology Associates Prescription Assistance Fund in Molly’s memory.
