MARY ELLEN "Micky" MILLER NIEMAN

Mary Ellen Miller Nieman, affectionately known as Micky, passed away, Friday, December 26, 2025, leaving a legacy of kindness, creativity, and a passion for life. Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania on October 22, 1934, Micky lived a life marked by a deep love of theatre and travel, reflecting her free-spirited nature and curiosity about the world.

Throughout her life, Micky was known for her generous and giving personality. She embraced equality for all of God's creatures and carried these values with grace and integrity. Her commitment to the arts was evident in her long-standing service as a board member of Wilkes-Barre's Fine Arts Fiesta, where she played a vital role in supporting and enriching the local cultural community.

Micky touched the lives of many as a warm and compassionate individual. She was a devoted sister, survived by her sister Jane Hensley of Wilkes-Barre, PA, and her brother Arthur S. Miller & his wife June of Carverton, PA. She also leaves behind her close companion, Dr. Herbert Fellerman, of Kingston, PA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.

Though Micky did not have a formal career noted in her life’s story, her contributions to the arts and her community were significant and deeply valued. Her free-spirited nature and love of travel allowed her to inspire and help many people along the way.

Memorial service will be conducted on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at 1:30 pm at the Friedman Jewish Community Center, Kingston. Visitation from 1 to 1:30 pm.

Those who knew Micky will remember her as a kind soul and a passionate advocate for equality who brought light and love into the lives she touched. Her legacy as a free spirit and a helper of others will live on in the hearts of family, friends, and community alike.
