Mary F. Otway, 58, of Wilkes-Barre, died at the home of her daughter in Broomall, PA surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, April 19, 2022.

She also attended Luzerne County Community College and King’s College. Mary was a member of Our Lady of Hope Church in Wilkes-Barre. She worked for 18 years as an Internal Audit Specialist and supervisor for Blue Cross, and most recently as an Administrative Assistant for Navient. She was an avid reader and enjoyed attending flower and craft shows. In more recent months, she loved watching The Golden Girls marathons and any movie on the Hallmark channel. Her greatest interest was spending time with her husband, daughters, young grandchildren and son-in-law. Her son-in-law can be credited with keeping her well stocked with various chocolate ice cream.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 39 years, Mark Otway; loving daughters, Jennifer (Eric) Evans, Jessica Otway; grandchildren, Samuel and Penelope; sister, Angela (Joseph) Jacobs; nephews, Eric (Brittany) Jacobs; Kevin Jacobs; aunts; uncles; and cousins.

Mary will always be remembered as a courageous fighter who battled cancer for the past four years. We would like to thank the entire Penn Home Hospice Service who helped her fight this battle. We also give a special thanks to the clergy of St. Pius X Church in Broomall who visited her weekly in the last months of her life.
In lieu of flowers, Mary requested donations to be made to St. Pius X Church in Broomall in gratitude for their kindness and ministry.
