MARY CIECIERSKI Obituary

Mary Ciecierski, 90, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021 in the Hampton House, Sans Souci Parkway, Hanover Township.

 

She was born March 6, 1930 in Mocanaqua, the daughter of the late Primo and Teresa (Musto) Giovanninni.  She was a graduate of the former Shickshinny High School, graduating with high honors and from Lackawanna Junior College.


She was active, along with her husband, in the NE Rock Club for many years and the 1930 Pen Pal Club since 1977.  She enjoyed going to the annual club reunions, which took her to the homes of her club members, who lived in many different states throughout the US.


In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Ciecierski.


She is survived by her son, Richard and his wife Brenda (Penny); her sister, Lillian Sakowski; step grandson Anthony Calo and his wife Kellyann and their three children.


A Blessing service will be conducted on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at 10:30 am from the Lehman Family Funeral Service, Inc. 689 Hazle Ave. Wilkes-Barre, with burial in St. Marys Cemetery.


Friends may join the family for a visitation from 9:30 am until time of service at the funeral home.
