Marie T. Keegan, 88, of Ashley, passed away on May 14, 2025, at Birchwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
Born October 7, 1936, Marie was the daughter of the late Peter and Sophie Grivner. She was a graduate of GAR Memorial High School and went on to work as a lab technician at RCA.
Marie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Patrick Keegan Sr.; her siblings, Dorothy Mooney, Lillian Lovecchio, Ray Grivner, and Bill Grivner.
She is survived by her two loving sons: Robert Keegan and his wife Renee of Ashley; and Patrick Keegan and his wife Denise of Nanticoke. She was a cherished grandmother to Amanda (Tom) Delahanty, Marissa Keegan, Ashlee (Dan) Kozak, and Bryant Keegan; and a proud great-grandmother to Addison Delahanty and Emmalee Kozak. She is also survived by a close loving sister, Patsy Judge and numerous nieces and nephews.
Marie was a devoted member of St. Leo’s Church and a woman of quiet strength, wit, and warmth. She found joy in simple pleasures: crossword puzzles, baking, swimming, and spending time with her loyal dog, Cricket. She was also a television enthusiast who loved watching football, polka, and shows like The Golden Girls, The Office, and The Sopranos.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Birchwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center for their compassionate care, especially to Jill, whose kindness and dedication meant so much during Marie’s final days.
Marie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
