MARIE M. GALLAGHER

Marie Gallagher, 92, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021 in Residential Hospice, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Sugar Notch, she was the daughter of the late James and Bridgie Gallagher and was a graduate of GAR High School.  Marie worked for Social Security Administration, in the data entry department prior to retiring and was a member of St. Andrew's Parish, St. Patrick's Church, Wilkes-Barre. She was very active with St. Patrick's Church, baking for all the church festivities and organizing the church cleaning.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her brother James Gallagher.

Marie is survived by her sisters, Margaret Hopkins of Wilkes-Barre; Florence Bischof and her husband Charles of Long Pond and nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 am in St. Andrew's parish, Parrish Street, Wilkes-Barre, with Reverend Duane Gavitt officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Sugar Notch.
