Luis Alejandro Cespedes Ramirez

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Luis Alejandro Cespedes Ramirez, who left us on September 1st, 2024, at the tender age of 20. Luis was born on November 5th, 2003, in the Dominican Republic. He was a beloved son, a loyal brother, a cherished nephew, and a fun-loving uncle.

Luis had dreams of becoming a nurse and approached his battle with leukemia with incredible positivity and determination. He was committed to inspiring other cancer patients, wanting them to know they could fight and overcome the disease just as he was determined to do.

His infectious smile and warm spirit brought light to everyone around him. Luis was deeply loved by his family, friends, and colleagues, who will always remember his kindness, strength, and unwavering hope.

As we mourn his loss, we find comfort in the words of Psalm 34:18: *"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."* Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the love and inspiration Luis brought into our lives.

Luis will be forever missed.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by sisters Pamela Ramirez, Jose' Ramirez, step sister Jaslyn Acevedo, Odet Vargas.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 7:00 pm from the Lehman Family Funeral Service, Inc. 689 Hazle Ave. Wilkes-Barre.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until time of service.
