Leroy Hayes of White Haven passed away on June 23, 2026, at Heritage Hill in Weatherly.
Born in White Haven, he was the son of the late Gordon and Martha (Stubbs) Hayes. Leroy worked at the White Haven Center prior to his retirement. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was the recipient of the Pacific Theater Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon, and Victory Medal.
He enjoyed spending time with his loving family, sitting on the front porch, listening to music, and taking care of his lawn.
He was a member of White Haven United Methodist Church.
Leroy is survived by his wife, Janet; daughters Susan Bond of White Haven and Lori Solanick and her husband George of Freeland; grandchildren Jeremy and Jason Bond, Kristin Allegretto, and Mark Solanick; and great-grandchildren Jayden, Tanner, Connor, Harper, and Laurel; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son-in-law Larry Bond, as well as his siblings Forrest, Catherine, Gordon, Martha, Gertrude, Hop, and Mary, and several nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be held on July 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Laurel Cemetery in White Haven.
