LORETTA STEFANOSKI Obituary

Loretta Ann Stefanoski, Newtown Section of Hanover Township passed away on February 19, 2022.

Born on August 2, 1936, in Ashley Pa, she was the daughter of the late John J Cunningham and Loretta A (Fitzpatrick) Cunningham.

Loretta was a proud lifelong member of Saint Leo the Great Parish, and a graduate of Saint Leo’s High School Class of 1956.

She married Robert J Stefanoski in 1960 and settled into life on Brown Street, where she was a loving wife and mother of three children.  She and Robert shared 40 years of marriage before his death in 2001.

Loretta found truth in the proverb “home is where the heart is”.  She was always happiest when enjoying the simple comforts of home.  She continued to live in the house she loved until the day she was called by God to join him.  Believing in Heaven as our true and final home she peacefully left this world and calmly entered the only home she held dearer than her family’s house on Brown Street.

Loretta loved her faith, family and friends unconditionally.  She lived her faith and shared God's love daily through care, concern and understanding for others.  Whether a cherished moment or a troublesome time she was always there to offer her love and support.

A wonderful mother, grandmother and friend, Loretta will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.  We can find comfort in knowing she is at rest in eternal peace and reunited with loved ones she dearly missed for many years.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her only sibling, a brother, John J Cunningham and his wife Lenore Vivian Cunningham.

She is survived by her children, son Robert J Stefanoski, daughters Erin Marie Poncala (Matthew), Paulette Williams (Mark), four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Leo the Great Church, Ashley on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2022, at 10:00 am.  A private interment for family will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.

At Lorettas request, there will be no calling hours.
