Lawrence Eugene Bond, Sr. of White Haven, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Keystone Garden Estates in Larksville.
Born in White Haven, he was the son of the late Jeremiah and Ethel Moyer Bond and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during World War II. Lawrence worked at the White Haven Center in the garage and security department and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the White Haven Fire Company. Lawrence loved to fish and hunt and spend time with his family.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Jacqueline Wilkinson, sisters, Caroline Ziminsky, Margaret Teman, Irene Green, Karen Daneker; brothers, Thomas Bond, Robert Bond and Earl Bond.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Minnie “Jackie” Beam Bond children, Lawrence (Sue) Bond of White Haven; Carol (William) Hankinson of Dorrance; grandsons: David Troell, Steven Koch, Michael Troell, Jeremy Bond, Zachariah Wilkinson, Jason Bond, Austin Wilkinson, Kyle Hankinson; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Harrell; great granddaughters, Emily Troell, Addyson Saunders, Larae Whatmore, Mya Harrell, Emilia Harrell, great grandsons, Gavin Troell, Jayden Bond, Conner Troell; sisters, Judy Moon, Nesquehoning and Iona (George) Graaf of Weatherly and nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service, with Military Honors, will be celebrated on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 12:00 noon from the Lehman Family Funeral Service, Inc. 403 Berwick St, White Haven. Reverend Rothrock will officiate.
Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation from 11:00 am until time of service.
