Keith D. Smith, 50, of White Haven, passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021, at home with family by his side following a battle with pancreatic cancer for 22 months.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of Elaine Ackers Smith of White Haven and the late Donald Smith. He was a graduate of Crestwood High School, Class of 1988 and earned his Associate Degree from Pennsylvania College of Technology. Keith worked as an Electronic Mechanical Technician for Cornell in Mountaintop. He was a former member of St. Patrick's Church, White Haven and recently attended the Presbyterian Church, White Haven with his wife Laura.
He enjoyed gardening, classic cars, hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, kayaking and anything that would take him outdoors with his sons, but especially loved watching sunsets. He enjoyed reading and writing poetry. Keith loved everything about country life. He was a Boy Scout Leader for his sons' Freeland Troop #473. Keith had a wonderful sense of humor and could make anyone laugh.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his father in law, Donald Lesser.
In addition to his mother, Keith is survived by his loving wife, Laura Lesser Smith, sons, Coleman and William Smith, brother, Kirk (Robin) Smith of New Hampshire and several nieces.
Funeral services will be held from the Lehman Family Funeral Service Inc 403 Berwick St. White Haven on Saturday, March 27, 2021, at 1:00 pm. Friends may call from 11am to the time of service at the funeral home.
Private family interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, White Haven.
