John William MacIntrye died Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Allied Services Hospice, Meade St., Wilkes-Barre, following a battle with lung and bone cancer. Born and raised in Wilkes-Barre, John attended St. Boniface School and graduated from Bishop Hoban, Class of 1976. He completed studies in Pest Control from Purdue University and was employed by Ehrlich Pest Control and most recently with Orkin Pest Control.
John loved his summers "out at the lake" with his grandparents, mom and stepdad. He was an avid Pool player winning numerous local tournaments over the years. He loved his family and extended family of friends.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, John Klosko.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving mother, Rosalie Evans Klosko; Cousin Sharryl Kastreva; friends and extended family.
According to his wishes, there will be no public funeral service, but burial at Maple Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Family would like to thank the Allied Services Hospice Center, Meade St. and staff for the excellent care given to John.
