Jean A. Runske, of White Haven, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026.
Born in Delaware on October 10, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Millard and Edna (Cushing) Heller. Jean attended Media High School and carried throughout her life a strong work ethic and a deep devotion to her family and community.
Jean was known for being hardworking, kind hearted, and very neighborly. She was loved by those who knew her and always had a warm presence and a caring spirit. A wonderful mother and grandmother, Jean took great pride in caring for her family and making sure they always felt supported and loved.
In her free time, Jean enjoyed reading and watching baseball. She was a devoted fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and the Philadelphia Eagles and loved to cheer on her favorite teams.
Jean is survived by her sons, Steve Runske of White Haven, Larry Runske and Curt Runske, both of Coatesville; her sister, Carole Heller; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George W. Runske; her daughter, Amy Hladasz; and her grandson, Kyle Hladasz.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
Jean will be remembered for her generous heart, her love of family, and the kindness she showed to neighbors and friends throughout her life.
