James J. Qualters

James J. Qualters, 71, of Ashley, passed away on July 22, 2026.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, to the late John and Ann Qualters, James was a graduate of Bishop Hoban High School. He worked for many years for Laborers Local Union 158.

James found joy in the simple things that brought family together. Christmas was his favorite time of year, and he cherished every holiday season. He rarely missed an opportunity to watch his grandchildren compete in their sporting events and took great pride in cheering them on. He also enjoyed watching hockey and basketball, was a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan, and loved spending time with his faithful dog, Luna.

He is survived by his son, James J. Qualters Jr. and daughter in law Beth Qualters of Hanover Township; his daughter, Amanda Qualters of Ashley; and his beloved grandchildren, Morgan and Mason.

Private family services will be held at the convenience of the family.
