Judith Ann Grimm, (79) born 7/15/43, of Mountain Top, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at home with family by her side.
Born In Wareham, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Lionel and Marian Chatel Sr. and was a graduate of South West Miami High School. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 1000 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre where her husband is pastor emeritus. Judy enjoyed doing crafts and had a great love for children, taking care of many during her lifetime.
She is survived by her loving husband retired Pastor Gerald J. Grimm; 3 sons; Joseph (Linda) Grimm, Claremont FL., David (Shawna) Grimm, Leonidas MI, Stephen (Cheryl) Grimm, Mountain Top PA; 1 daughter; Mary (Harold JR) Fisher, Mountain Top PA; 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren & 4 siblings; Janet (Ray) Baker, Lionel (Shirley)Chatel Jr, Richard (Elena)Chatel and Marian (Bill) Chatel-Dodd. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She not only raised her own four children, but she also took in several other children to raise as well. Along with many God-children.
Judy was a zone president for the LWML, Sunday School Teacher, VBS crafts, Welcome Wagon, Ambulance volunteer, Mountaintop needlework, book club, dinner club, quilting, crafting, painting, Choir
Judy Enjoyed pool time gatherings with her family and friends. She was an avid Skipbo player.
Funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 10 in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 1000 South Main Street, Hanover Township with Pastor Kim Bode officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the LWML at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation from 3 to 5 pm at the Lehman Family Funeral Service, Inc. 689 Hazle Ave. Wilkes-Barre, Wednesday December 28, 2022 and from 9:00 am until time of service at the church.
