JOSEPH FESSLER Obituary

Joseph A. Fessler, 93, of Wilkes-Barre Township, passed away in the Wilkes-Barre General on Tuesday, July 21, 2020.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Lewis and Elizabeth Miller Fessler, and served his country proudly in the United States Army, Navy and Merchant Marines. He was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, Navy Good Conduct Medal (Sixth Award); National Defense Service Medal with bronze star; World War II Victory Medal; American Theater Medal; Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and was a member of St. Leo/Holy Rosary Church, Ashley.

In additional to his parents, he was preceded by his wife, Anna Fessler and brother, Louis Fessler.

He is survived by his daughter, Susan O'Neill of Norristown, PA; son, Gregory Fessler, of Dallas,PA; four grandchildren and one great grandson.

There will be a private blessing service held.

Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia with military honors.
