Jose' Luis Roman, Jr. 68, of Wilkes-Barre passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 in the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Jose was the beloved son of the late Jose Luis Roman Sr. and Felicita Cruz Torres. A proud veteran of the United States Army, he served his country with honor and earned the Sharpshooter Badge. He later pursued his passion for spirituality, earning a doctorate in Theology. Later, becoming a Reiki Master and Teacher.
Jose had a deep love for life and cherished time spent with his family. He enjoyed dancing, DJ’ing, hunting, fishing, and playing games like chess and backgammon. Known for his warmth and joyful spirit, he was an active member of the Senior Citizens Club in Wilkes-Barre, where he found great joy in connecting with others.
He is survived by his loving children, Jose Luis Roman III and his wife, Angela of Wilkes-Barre; Ruth Roman of Puerto Rico; and Abraham Roman of Puerto Rico. He was a proud grandfather to Cydney, Xavier, Elijah, Renee, Xena, Xiomara, and Cassidy. Jose is also survived by his siblings, Abigail, Benjamin, Edwin, Marilyn, Evette, Zonia, Pedro, Edward, Mark, and Mildred, as well as many nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at Lehman Family Funeral Service, Inc., 689 Hazle Ave., Wilkes-Barre. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Linden, NJ.
Friends and family are invited to gather for a visitation from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., prior to the service.
