JEAN PISANESCHI

Jean A. Pisaneschi, 93, of Newtown Section of Hanover Township, died on Friday, November 12, 2021 in Salem, NH.

Born in Ashley, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Louise Zoeller Kerestes and was a graduate of Hanover Area High School. Jean worked for many years in local shoe factories and enjoyed gardening. Being a devoted Catholic, she was a member of St. Leo the Great Parish, Ashley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis J. Pisaneschi and siblings, Dorothy, Andy, John and Frank.

She is survived by her daughter, Jean Shaffer of Sweet Valley; grandsons, David Smith; Michael Smith; Jesse Shaffer; five great grandchildren, Caleb, Jeremiah, Elijah, Chloe and Oliver Smith; brothers, Jim, Joe and Robert Kerestes nieces and nephews.

Private Funeral Service was held from the Lehman Family Funeral Service, Inc. 689 Hazle Ave. Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Leo the Great Church, Ashley. Reverend Vincent Dang, pastor, officiated. Interment followed in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
