JEAN MILLER Obituary

Jean L. Miller, of Newark, Delaware, formerly of White Haven, died on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 in Newark, Delaware.

Born in White Haven, she was the daughter of the late William Jones and Edith Brumbach Jones. Jean was a cheerleader and graduate of White Haven High School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Milton, sister Janet, and Twin Sister Joan Ladner.

Jean and Milton shared 63 years of marriage. They married November 26, 1955 in White Haven, and lived in Missouri as Milton was in the Air Force stationed at Whiteman Air Force base in Missouri, where daughter Debbie was born. Later they moved to Delaware where they resided 40 years, prior to Jean and Milton moving back to White Haven in 2003.

After Milton passed in 2019, Jean moved back to Delaware to be with her family to an Assisted Living. Jean was very artistic, loved making crafts, which she did until her final days.

She is survived by her Loving Family, daughter, Debbie Howaniec and her husband, whom Jean adored and shared a special relationship with Anthony (Tim) of Newark, DE; and her only grandchild, grandson, whom she shared a close bond with Roland LaPointe III; nieces and nephews, and a Sister.

A Special thank you to all of her Somerford family and a Heartfelt thank you to her Hospice Family who cared for her.

Graveside Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, July 23, 2022, in Laurel Cemetery, White Haven at 2:30 pm with Reverend Wayne Kaufman officiating.
