JEAN CAROL COLLINS

On March 27, 2022, Jean Collins, loving wife and mother, passed away at the age of 85. Jean passed at Geisinger Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, with her husband and son by her side. 

Jean was born on November 5, 1936, in Nanticoke, PA to Leon (Clymer) and Mary (Talarsky) Klemaszewski. Following her graduation from Nanticoke High School, she obtained employment at the Wall Street Journal, New York City. Upon returning to this area, she secured employment at RCA Mountaintop, from where she retired. 
Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her son Michael, being the love of her life. 

Jean was a member of Saint Leo the Great Parish, Ashley. 

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, sister Marie and brother-in-law Stanley Siergiej, and brother-in-law Francis (Yab) Saunders. 

Jean is survived by her husband Michael Gerard Collins, her son Michael Francis Collins, both of Ashley, sister Elizabeth (Betty) Saunders, Newton New Jersey, sister-in-law Deirdre Perks, sister-in-law Cookie and husband Al Spaide, sister-in-law Maire and husband Phil Gorham and many loving nieces and nephews. 

Friends are invited to join the family for visitation on Friday, April 1, 2022, from 5 to 7 at Lehman Family Funeral Home, 689 Hazle Ave, Wilkes-Barre PA.

Blessing Service will be conducted on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 10:00 AM.

Visitation will also occur from 9:30 to until time of service.  Reverend Brian Clarke will officiate the Blessing Service.

Private interment will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
