JANICE WALTON

Janice Marie Walton, 81, of East Side Boro, died on February 6, 2022 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, surrounded by loved ones.

Born in Lehighton, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Jenny (Kunkle) Kuntz. Janice worked as a waitress for many years and salesperson at Big Boulder Ski Shop. She was a member of White Haven Presbyterian Church and loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her best friend, Joyce Reiner. Janice enjoyed painting and was a past member of the East Side Borough Knitting Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by husband, Bruce Walton; sister: Leah and brothers: Ronald and Lee Kuntz.

She is survived by her son, John (Robin) Walton of White Haven; daughter, Rebecca Peabody of Weatherly; grandchildren, Amanda (Rob) Stepenaskie; Lyndsay (James) Ashley; Natalie (Michael) Best and Jennifer Walton; great grandchildren: Bria, Robby, Greiyson, Alex, Abigail and Kaia; brother: Bruce Kuntz of Bowmantown; along with several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 11:00 am in Laurel Cemetery, White Haven.
