James G. Kemmerer, Sr. of Harding died on Saturday, September 4, 2021 in the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital at the age of 82.
Born in Wilkes-Barre and raised in Lee Park, he was the son of the late George and Rita Malarkey Kemmerer and was a 1956 graduate of Hanover High School. James was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Church and was employed by Nordson Corporation, prior to retirement. He enjoyed spending time with family and loved antique cars and car shows. He was an avid member of the Hi Lites Motor Club and loved to display his '52 Chevy and '06 Corvette at car shows around the Back Mountain.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his brother, Donald Kemmerer and sister, Ann Rash.
James is survived by his loving wife, Constance S. Conway Kemmerer; children, James (Carrie) Kemmerer Jr. of Lakewood; Catherine Memmo of Pewaukee, WI; Randall (Amy) Kemmerer of Trucksville; six grandchildren, Kellyn, James, Ashley, Christian, Grace and Clara and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 10:00 am in St. Frances Cabrini Church, 585 Mt. Olivet Road, Carverton, Wyoming with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Wyoming.
Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation from 4 to 7 pm on Friday, September 10, 2021 at the Lehman Family Funeral Service Inc. 689 Hazle Ave. Wilkes-Barre.
Unvaccinated family and friends are asked to please wear face coverings for both visitation and Mass and asked to go directly to the church for the Mass on Saturday.
