Obituary

Henry A. Sedorchuk, Jr. 70, of Newport Township, died on Thursday, December 30, 2021, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.

 

Born in Nanticoke, he was the son of the late Henry A. Sedorchuk Sr. and Ruth Kaskey Sedorchuk.  Henry worked as a machinist in the manufacturing industry; before and after retiring, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family.  He was a member of Newport Township Fire Dept. and the  Glen Lyon Italian Club. 

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved son, Henry Sedorchuk III and sister, Dianna Gardjulis.

 

Hank is survived by his loving wife, Mary Alice Lane Sedorchuk; son, James Sedorchuk and his wife, Tina of Nanticoke; grandchildren: Jessica, Noah, Henry, Mikayla, Matthew and Mariah; sister, Judith Rinker of Wilkes-Barre; daughter in law, Annie Sedorchuk of Nanticoke; sisters-in-law:Betty Ball and her husband, Danny of Pittston; Joyce Jarski and her husband, Charles of Wilkes-Barre; brother-in-law,Pastor James Lane and his wife, Helene of Forty-Fort . He will be deeply missed by his many nieces and nephews. He was known for his gruff exterior, but loved for his heart of gold.


Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 7:00 pm from the Lehman Family Funeral Service, Inc. 689 Hazle Ave. Wilkes-Barre.


Friends are invited to join the family also for a visitation from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home. 

Everyone attending is asked to wear a mask, as per family wishes.
