GERALD BALUTA Obituary

Gerald A. Baluta, of Scranton, formerly of Mountain Top, died on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 in Gino Merli Veterans Center.

 

Born in Fairmont Township, he was a diamond driller for Certain-Teed in Mountain Top. He was a former member of St. Jude's Church, Mountain Top and served his country proudly in the United States Army Air Corp, where he was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine and siblings.

 

Gerald is survived by children, Kenneth (Louise) Baluta of Mountain Top; Robert Baluta of Texas, Lisa Baluta of Plymouth; Brenda Baluta of Texas; Susan Baluta of FL; sister, Constance Dula of Shickshinny, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 10:0 am in St. Jude's Church, 420 S. Mountain Blvd. Mountain Top. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
