Faye R. Klinges, 85, of Newtown section of Hanover Township, died on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center with family by her side.
Born in Andover, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Rachael Snyder and was a graduate of Ashley High School. Faye worked in the garment industry prior to retirement and owned and operated Double K Market in Newtown. She was a member of Askam United Methodist Church, enjoyed spending time with family, and volunteering for the Catherine McCauley House. She would always be seen at St. Leo the Great Church, at their annual church festival, organizing the flea market in the church basement.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Eugene in 2007, siblings, Dorothy Yatsko and Robert Snyder, and infant daughter Robin Elizabeth.
She is survived by her children, Patricia Klinges of Hanover Township; Donna and Mike McNelis of Larksville; Diane Klinges of Kingston; Eugene and Launi Klinges of Swoyersville; grandchildren, Matthew, Brian and Amy McNelis and Mollie Faye Klinges.
The family would like to thank the staff at Riverstreet Manor for the care and compassion they provided. They would also like to thank the doctors and nurses at Geisinger Medial Center ICU.
Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 10:00 am from the Lehman Family Funeral Service, Inc. 689 Hazle Ave. Wilkes-Barre with Pastor Craig Mark officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation from 4 to 7 pm on Friday, June 24, 2022 and on Saturday from 9:30 am until time of service.
