Elizabeth Roque

Elizabeth "Liz" Roque, of White Haven, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Emily McCourt Hallowell. Liz was a graduate of Lower Moreland High School. She attended Abington Dixson School of Nursing diploma program for License Practical Nurse. She dedicated her career to caring for others. She compassionately served countless patients throughout the years.

A woman of deep faith, Liz was an active and devoted member of St. Patrick's Church in White Haven. Her kindness, generosity, and caring spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and found great joy in serving others.

Liz embraced an active lifestyle and enjoyed doing aerobic exercise with her friends, taking peaceful walks, spending time outdoors and tending to her beautiful plants. She adored her cat, buddy. She was known to share treats with the local dogs on her walks- a small gesture that reflected her loving heart and compassionate nature.

She is survived by her seven siblings: Charles Hallowell of Lansdale, Pennsylvania; “Dee” Emiline Hallowell of Willow Grove, Pennsylvania; Mary Duncan and her husband, Bruce, of Feasterville, Pennsylvania; Edward Hallowell of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Helene Adams and her husband, Chris, of Laguna Niguel, California; Bernadette Hoffmann and her husband, George, of Chalfont, Pennsylvania; and Faith Green and her husband, Steven, of Cody, Wyoming. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

In addition to her parents, Liz was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Roque, and her brother, Hoyt Hallowell.

Liz will be remembered for her unwavering compassion, gentle spirit, and the genuine love she shared with her family, friends, patients, and even the neighborhood animals she so dearly cared for. Her legacy of kindness and selflessness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Some called her an Angel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 7, 2026 at 10:00 am in St. Patrick's Church, 411 Allegheny St. White Haven with Reverend Michael Kloton officiating.  Interment will be private in Indiantown Gap Military Cemetery, Annville alongside her husband.  

Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation from 9:00 am until time of Mass at the church.  Arrangements under the direction of the Lehman Family Funeral Service, White Haven.
