Edward "Nippy" Hertensten

Edward "Nippy" Hertensten, of Lake Harmony, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest.

Born in Manhattan, he was the son of Dorothy Schuller Hertensten of Queens and the late George Hertensten. Edward earned his bachelor's degree from Hawthorne College in English and was employed as a real estate manager for IBM.

He loved listening to music and was an avid Yankees fan. In his younger years, he enjoyed skiing and spending time on the slopes.

Edward is survived by his wife, Catherine; his brother, William H. Hertensten and his wife Diane; his niece, Kristen (Corey) Cartwright and her husband Corey; and his great-nieces, Charlotte and Eleanor Cartwright.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
