ELIZABETH BENNETT LEONARD Obituary

Elizabeth “Libby” Bennett Leonard, devoted mother, sister, and friend, left this world suddenly on October 16, 2021 at the age of 41.

The first baby of the decade in her hometown of North Canton, OH, Libby was born to Doug and Cyndi Croley on January 1, 1980 at Aultman Hospital.  Libby was an exceptionally talented violinist and spent her childhood performing as a member of the Akron Youth Symphony.  Upon graduating from high school, Libby spent time living in Colorado, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.  She had an entrepreneurial spirit, most recently running her own bookkeeping business, an especially green thumb for gardening, and a love of animals.

Libby’s proudest and most treasured role of her life was as the mother of her two beautiful children, Atley and June. From handmade halloween costumes and homemade birthday cakes, to impromptu dancing in the rain and splashing in puddles; if it meant making memories she would drop everything in an instant.  She devoted her life to providing them an immeasurable amount of love and laughter, and instilling in them that they are capable of anything they can imagine.

Libby’s is survived by her children, Atley (9) and June (5) Leonard, father, Doug (Kathy) Croley, sister, Marren Croley, brother, Marcus (Erin) Croley and nephew, Tyler Croley (2), her grandmother, Helen Croley, and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.  She is predeceased by her mother, Cyndi Croley, maternal grandparents, John and Penny Baxter, and paternal grandfather, Paul Croley.

A private service was held by the family to celebrate her life.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to an education fund established for her children at https://www.gofundme.com/f/triangle-strong
