ELIZABETH MYERS Obituary

Elizabeth “Betty” J. Myers, of Wilkes-Barre, formerly of Sugar Notch and Ashley, died in River View Nursing and Rehabilitation, with family by her side.

 

Born in Sugar Notch, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Frances McConologue Padden; was a member of St. Leo the Great Parish and former member of Holy Family, Sugar Notch. She and her husband owned, and operated Joy Pest Control and she enjoyed spending time with her family.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by brothers, Thomas Jr.; Robert; Eugene Padden, sisters, Rose and Nancy Padden and daughter, Elizabeth Williams.

 

Betty is survived by her loving family, husband of 65 years, Charles A. Myers; daughters, Barbie Davison; Rose Crisler, Irene Belcher, Peggy Young, Molly Carey, Patty Haydt, sons, Patrick Myers and Charles Myers; 53 grand and great grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Mitchell, Mary Kuhns, Anita Godumski, brothers, James, John and Joseph Padden and many nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 9:30 am from the Lehman Family Funeral Service Inc. 689 Hazle Ave. Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 10:00 am in St. Leo the Great Parish, 33 Manhattan St. Ashley.

 

Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, from 4 to 7 pm and on Wednesday morning, from 9:00 am until time of service.
