Edith Alberta Blakeslee, 85, of Freeland, died on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Geisinger Wyoming Medical Center.
Born in White Haven, She was the daughter of the late William and Sarah Butler. She worked at the Tobyhanna Army Depot in the food prep department for the Cafeteria. She enjoyed playing cards, an occasional trip to the casinos, playing pinochle and watching the Pittsburgh Pirates.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, Leon Blakeslee and siblings: Bobby and Sunny Butler.
She is survived by daughter, Valerie (Jeffrey) Pfeiffer of White Haven; sons, Leon “Paul” (Lisa) Blakeslee of Penn Forest; Ty (Betty) Blakeslee of Pocono Lake; Guy (Heidi) Blakeslee of Bear Creek; sister: Lottie Shesley of Miffinberg and brother, Ronald Butler of Mile City, Montana.
She is also survived by grandchildren, Shannon, Shane, Paige, Cory, Cody, Shawn, Justin, Dalycia and great grandchildren, Frankie and Maddox.
Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 11:00 AM in Blakeslee United Methodist Church, Blakeslee with interment in Blakeslee Cemetery.
A post funeral luncheon will be held at McKinley's Pocono Trail Lodge after the service.
