DANIEL W. PRICE

Daniel Price, 85, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 3, 2025. Born on February 21, 1940, in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Charles and Laura Price. A lifelong resident of Wilkes-Barre, Daniel was a member of Our Lady of Hope Parish. He graduated from Plains High School and Wilkes-Barre Business College with a diploma in Accounting. Daniel spent his career working at Carter Footwear Inc., before enjoying his well-earned retirement.

Daniel was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies and had a deep love for both sports. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his family. Danny's family would like to send sincere gratitude to the staff and other residents of Maple Ridge Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Kingston for all the years of care and compassion. 

He is survived by his daughter, Angela Jacobs and her husband Joseph of Nanticoke; four cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Evans (husband Eric), Jessica Otway, Kevin Jacobs, and Eric Jacobs (wife Brittany); and four beloved great-grandchildren, Samuel Evans, Penelope Evans, Darren Jacobs, and Appolonia Jacobs. He also leaves behind his son-in-law, Mark Otway.

Daniel was preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara, his parents, his sister, Martha Linski, and his beloved daughter, Mary Otway.  

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 9:30 AM at Lehman Family Funeral Service, Inc., 689 Hazle Ave, Wilkes-Barre, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Hope Parish, Park Ave, Wilkes-Barre, officiated by Reverend Terry. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.

Friends and family may call on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, and again on Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
