BRIAN J. CASEY

Brian J. Casey, 64, of Ashley, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024 in Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore.

Born in Kingston, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Sandra M. Coleman Casey and was a graduate of Hanover High School. Brian was employed as a plumber and was a member of the Plumbers Local Union 524; Lions Club and served on the council and Mayor in Ashley Borough.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, motorcycling and spending time with family. He, along with his son Kyle and grandson Brody, were avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fans.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph Casey and Keith Casey and infant brother, John Casey.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 39 years, Lisa Churnetski Casey; children Ryan (Kristen) Casey, Jamie Lee (Richard Boytin) Casey, Kyle Casey, Brandon (Kayla) Casey; three grandchildren, Richie, Madelyn, Brody; siblings Larry Casey, Kimberly (Don) Berrettini, Alison (David Durko) Casey; sisters in law Lynn Ziller, Christine Casey, brother in law Scott Churnetski, father in law and step mother in law Leo and Charlene Churnetski and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Blessing service will be conducted on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 3:00 pm from the Lehman Family Funeral Service, 689 Hazle Ave. Wilkes-Barre, with Reverend Vincent Dang officiating.  

Friends are invited to join the family from 1:00 pm until time of service at the funeral home.
