Arcilla I. Henning, a beloved resident of White Haven, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026, at the age of 80. She fought a courageous battle surrounded by her devoted loved ones. Born in Kingston on April 2, 1945, raised in Mountain Top, Arcilla was the daughter of Roger and Pearl (Richards/Flickinger) Cooksey. She graduated with pride from Crestwood High School in 1963 and went on to devote 45 years to serving others as a waitress at local establishments such as Red’s, The Truck Stop, and Howard Johnson’s.
Throughout her life, Arcilla found immense joy in the simple pleasures and spontaneous road trips that brought new adventures. Her passion for gardening and flowers was evident in the vibrant beauty they nurtured, thanks to a remarkable green thumb. Arcilla’s love for crocheting resulted in countless blankets gifted to children near and far, especially within the White Haven community—these keepsakes remain cherished tokens of loving warmth and care.
In her leisure time, Arcilla delighted in watching NASCAR, drag racing, polkas, and was steadfast in never missing an episode of General Hospital. She had a love and devotion for all animals, especially our family dogs. Family gatherings were filled with delicious meals and baked goods, as Arcilla enjoyed cooking and baking for those she loved. Her deep sense of patriotism was reflected in ongoing support for military veteran organizations, and maintained a longstanding membership at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Arcilla is survived by her children: Angela Henning boyfriend Joseph Radjavitch, and Jason Henning wife Jennifer, all of White Haven. Daughter-in-law Betty Henning, Freeland. Her legacy continues through cherished grandchildren—Alan Derr wife Amanda, Kaila Abshier husband Andy, Bo Hunsinger, Gerald Henning III, Samantha Henning, Maria Henning, Olivia Henning, and Amelia Henning—as well as seven great-grandchildren, with another on the way.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Gerald Henning II; her brother, George Flickinger; and her longtime companion, Clifford Scott. Arcilla’s memory will be treasured by all whose lives she touched.
Private services will take place at the family’s convenience. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Family Funeral Service, White Haven.
