Anne Marie McCluskey, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2026.
Born on May 5, 1938, in Nesquehoning, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Agnes Bernhardt McArdle. Anne Marie was a graduate of Summit Hill High School and later made her home in White Haven in the 1960s, where she remained for the rest of her life.
Anne Marie dedicated many years to serving others through her work as a waitress at several local establishments, including Split Rock Resort Restaurant, the Holiday Inn, and Howard Johnson’s. After her long career in the restaurant industry, she continued her work caring for others as an aide at White Haven Center.
A woman of deep faith, Anne Marie was an active member of St. Patrick’s Church, White Haven. She was a familiar and beloved face at daily Mass and regularly participated in parish events. Her faith was an important part of her life, as was her desire to serve those around her.
Anne Marie had a big heart and was known for her generosity and thoughtfulness. She found joy in doing little things to make others smile. Whenever she was able, she would walk to the White Haven Post Office to bring candy for the postal workers. She had done the same for the employees of the local bank before it closed. These simple acts of kindness were a reflection of the caring person she was and the many people she touched throughout her life.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Susan Jolley-Ackerman of South Carolina; her grandchildren, Tonya, Nicole, and Heather Jolley; great grandchildren, Bennett and Brooks; her siblings, Maureen Brown and Paul McArdle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Anne Marie was preceded in death by her son, Royce McCluskey; granddaughter, Melissa Jolley and 13 siblings.
Funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at 9:30 am from the Lehman Family Funeral Service, Inc. 403 Berwick St. White Haven with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Patricks Church, White Haven. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Bloomingdale Cemetery, 169-305 East White Bear Drive, Summit Hill, PA 18250. Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 from 5 to 7 pm and again on Wednesday from 9:00 am until time of service.
Anne Marie will be remembered for her strong faith, generous spirit, and the countless small acts of kindness she so freely gave to others. Her presence in the White Haven community will be deeply missed.
